Karkala : Gambling mafia behind murder of young man?

Karkala, Jan 23, 2014 : A young man was found murdered at Kaveribettu in Palli village on January 21, Tuesday. It is suspected that he was  attacked by some persons  while on way home from work. The suspicion is that he might have been killed by some  people engaged in gambling which is rampant in the area.

The deceased has been identified as Arun D’Almeida, son of John Albert Castelino of Palli Adapady. He was an AC mechanic by profession.

Police who are  investigating the case have taken one person named Suresh into custody and have subject him to interrogation.
