Karkala: Disappointed supporters of ticket aspirant Uday Kumar Shetty stage protest

Karkala, April 16, 2018: Disappointed supporters of Congress leader Muniyalu Udaykumar Shetty  who has been deprived of a ticket from Karkala constituency  staged a protest in front  of  Shetty’s office located close by the Taluk Office on April 16, Monday. Over 3000 supporters of  Shetty took part in the protest and demanded a ticket for  their leader.

The protestors later proceeded  towards the  office of former MLA Gopal Bhandari who has been granted a ticket by the Congress to contest the polls. The protestors also tried to burn the effigy of former CM Veerappa Moily. They were even heard shouting slogans against Moily.

Uday Kumar Shetty who  tried to pacify his supporters said there is still scope for him. He said he has the confidence of getting the B form  and also urged his supporters to be patient and maintain peace.
