Karkala: Case registered against 15 Bajrandal Activists

Karkala: August 25, 2015: The police have registered a case against 15 Bajrangdal Activists for assaulting three persons and stealing their cattle at Sankalakriya in Mundkur.

The accused have been identified as Kateel Somu, Sankalakariya, Triveni Mahesh, Moodabidre, Shashikanth, Kitta Kinnigoli, Sunil K R, Guruprasad Shetty, Navin Murukaveri, Navin Kondel, Umesh Suda, Navin Belman. Suraj Kateel, Sanath Kumar, Sujith Saccharipete and Prasad.

The victim Mundkur Ibrahim had tied 30 buffaloes in a field belonging to Ramanna Shetty with a purpose of selling it.

The Bajrang Dal Activists without knowing the head and toe of the situation began assaulting Ibrahim thinking he was stealing the buffaloes.

When Illyas and Raheem, brother of Ibrahim arrived at the spot, the activists even assaulted both and tied them to a tree.  The Activists also threatened Ibrahim to set his house on fire.

The police have started their investigation.
