Karkala : Ayyappa devotee slips to death in river

Karkala, Dec 03, 2015: An Ayyappa devotee  lost his life after he accidentally slipped into a river  near Durga Tellar on December 2, Wednesday.

 

The deceased has been identified as Prashanth Poojary (35), a resident of Hosahitlu, Bedrapalke.   Prashanth who had  been a Ayyappa Vrithadhari for the first time   had  stepped into the waters on Wednesday evening  for a bath when he suddenly slipped and fell over a rock resulting in serious injuries and death.

Prashanth who worked as an assistant in a push cart canteen  has left behind his wife and two kids.
