Kargil Vijay Diwas : Rich tributes paid to martyrs

Mangaluru, July 27,2016 : Rich tributes were made to the Kargil martyrs on behalf of the DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association and Shastavu Bhoothanatheshwara Trust at a solemn ceremony held at the War Memorial at Kadri on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Participants lighted candles to mark the occasion.

 

Col. N Sharath Bhandary, an ex-serviceman, recalled the valiant efforts of the Indian army during the Kargil war  which had claimed the lives of many army men and heft over a thousand wounded. It is the duty of each and everyone to remember the services of these martyrs, he added.

Premalatha V Shetty of Bhoothanatheshwara Trust, Dr Murali Mohan Choontharu, District Home Guards Commander and others were present.  Several ex-servicemen and Home Guards were present.
