Kanarites in Bengaluru celebrate ’Mood Mangalorean’ on Feb 25, Sat

Mangaluru, Feb 23, 2017: KCA, Kanara Catholic Association, Bangalore, a 67-year-old organisation set up in 1955, is all set for its ’Mood Mangalorean’ event on February 25 at the newly inaugurated Konkani Samudai Bhavan at Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru. Errol Fernandes, KCA president, said Leslie Fernandes, former chairman of Dockendale Shipping.

Co, will be the chief guest and Ronald Colaco, catholic social worker, will be the guest of honour. For the past 67 years, the KCA has been organising programmes for the community members, said Errol Fernandes. Marjorie Texeira, vice president of KCA, has organised cultural programmes.


"Mood Mangalorean is an event that showcases cultural heritage and history of the Kanara Catholic Community," Dr Joseph Rasquinha, managing committee member.  Ferns Estates and Developers are sponsoring the event while Austin and Hilma Roach are sponsoring the event.

The KCA, is a venerable organisation for the Mangalorean Catholic Community. It celebrated its 50th anniversary September 2004 to September 2005 with Rt Rev Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore gracing the occasion, see picture here.
