Kalburgi muder case: Prasad Attavar gets bail

Mangalore: September,4, 2015: The Sri Rama Sene chief who was arrested by CCB police was granted bail by JMFC II judge on Thursday September 3.

 

Police arrested Attavar over facebook post relating to murder of Kannada scholar Prof MM Kalburgi. The police had registered a case under section 15a and 506 of Indian Penal code.

It is said that facebook account carrying Attavar’s photo was fake.

According to the sources, Attavar has denied the allegations and has said that he has not used facebook since many days.

The police had recently arrested Bajrang dal leader Bhuvith Shetty on Aug 31 on controversial tweet ’justifying’ Kalburgi’s murder and threatening to kill Prof. K. S Bhagwan. He was then released on bail.
