Mangaluru, Dec 23, 2017: Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Jagadish Shenava who has strongly objected to the recent act of the Mujrai Department in issuing instruction to the Kadri Manjunatheshwara Temple authorities to reduce the volume of loudspeaker at the shrine, has said that the Department had acted against the sentiments of Hindus.
In a letter addressed to the Kadri Temple Executive Officer, he said that use of loudspeakers in a public place like a temple was necessary. "The government which has done nothing regarding the use of loudspeakers in mosques throughout the year, now asking a temple to reduce the volume of loudspeakers is condemnable," the letter further added.
The letter has even warned of protest if the Endowment Department order was adhered to.
The letter was handed over to the temple authorities on December 23, Saturday by VHP office bearers.
