Mangaluru, Feb 16, 2018: A young soldier Zubair who is from Neranki of Bajattur village in Kadaba taluk has brought laurels for his home district as well as Karnataka by being a part of the CRPF team that valiantly fought against the Lashkar-e-Taiba militants who were in hiding in a building at Kashmir four days ago.
The team of which Zubair was part of, was successful in striking down the militants in a matter of a few hours. It may be recalled here that two Lashker-e-Taiba(LeT) militants were killed by security forces in Srinagar’s Karan Nagar area on Tuesday after a gunfight of nearly 30 hours that had started after a failed attack bid on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Kashmir.
Zubair is the second son of Samoon Beary and Aminamma couple. Zubair had his education at the Government Higher Primary School at Haleneranki and Sri Ramakunjeshwara High School. He later completed his PUC and BBM courses at St Philomena College.
Zubair has also uploaded a video of the CRPF operation on Facebook which has gone viral.
