KSRTC Bus runs over senior citizen in Sullia

Sullia, Oct 20, 2019: A  senior citizen was  killed on the spot after she was run over by a  KSRTC bus, while crossing the Mani-Mysuru national highway near Halegatu Vidyanagar, Sullia on Saturday.

According to police, the victim is  Meenakshi,67, a retired teacher. Around 4pm, the victim and her husband had come home in an autorickshaw. The autorickshaw driver stopped the vehicle opposite to their house, on the other side of the road.

Her husband had crossed the road, and while Meenakshi was crossing, she failed to notice a speeding KSRTC bus coming, which ran over her.

She died on the spot. The bus was moving to Mysuru from Subrahmanya. Sullia police have registered a case against the bus driver.
