Mangalore, May 3, 2012: The Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha (KPRS) and the CITU organized a protest in front of the DC’s office, demanding licenses to build houses for the poor.

Addressing the gathering, K. Yadav Shetty, the General Secretary said that due to hike in the value of property, the poor cannot afford to buy sites and it is pity that the government is giving away land to multinational companies. As a result the poor are not getting sites and licenses to construct houses from the past 15 years.
