KPCC expels Amrith Shenoy for six years for rebel activities against official candidate

Bengaluru, Apr 6, 2019: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Saturday expelled two Congress leaders from the party including Amrith Shenoy from Udupi for contesting against candidates put up by alliance Coalition partners in the Lok Sabha election.

The KPCC General Secretary Shafulla on Saturday said that the party has expelled the AICC co-opt member Amrith Shenoy who is contesting as Independent candidate for Udupi Lok Sabha seat against JDS-Congress nominee Pramod Madwaraj for the April-18 Lok Sabha elections.

Similarly the party has also expelled the KPCC member, Shanul Haq, who is contesting as Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate against KPCC Working President Eshwar Khandre in Bidar Lok Sabha constituency.

In a statement the KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao has warned the party workers and leaders working against party candidate as well as the coalition partner JD(S) nominees in the coming general elections.
