Udupi, Jan 15, 2016:  Padmanabha Prasanna, Founder of the Karnataka Janata Party  threw a bombshell on January 15, Saturday by claiming that he was in possession of a CD  of the marriage between  former CM BS Yeddyurappa and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje.

Speaking to reporters here, Prasanna also declared that he was ready to release the CD any time provided he was given Z Plus Security. He also appealed to the Chief Minister to provide him adequate security. On this occasion, he also challenged Yeddyurappa and Shobha to swear at Dharmasthala if at all they were not married. " If that happens, then I will retire from politics," Prasanna declared.

"Yeddyurappa, presently the Shivamogga MP and BJP National President who was once even the president of KJP,  had first married Shobha at the Rajarajeshwari Bhagavathi Amma Temple in Kerala," Prasanna said adding "Later they again tied the knot at Tirupathi at 1 am in the night as per the advice of an astrologer."

To a question on how he could gain hands on the marriage CD, Prasanna said "The CD was given to me by a former  PA of Yeddyurappa following a rift between him and Shobha over the post of Mysuru District  in-charge Minister.

On this occasion, Prasanna urged the state government  to cancel the appointment of 11 legislators as parliamentary secretaries and alleged that there was corruption in the appointments. This is nothing but a loss to the state exchequer as the parliamentary secretary enjoys the rank of a minister as well as all facilities, he said. He further added that notices have been issued to the MLAs concerned after he filed a PIL in the court in this regard.
