K. G. Prabhu emerges badminton champion in Israel

Mangalore, December 7: K. G. Prabhu of Kudremudh won the first place in the Israel Open Badminton for the disabled organized by the Israel Paralympic Committee and the Israel Sports Association at Tel Aviv in Israel. KIOCL Ltd., an undertaking of the government of India, sponsored K. G. Prabhu.


K. G. Prabhu emerges badminton champion in Israel


Prabhu had participated in the national-level Shuttle Badminton Championship for the physically challenged held at Bangalore on July 3 – 5, 2009 by the Badminton Sports Association of India and won the first place in men’s singles as well as doubles in the dwarf category.


His achievements won him the opportunity to represent India in Israel, where he won the first place by beating the Irish player Jobi Mathews in the final event.
