Rev. Dr. John Fernandes, professor and head of chair in Christianity in Mangalore University, was the guest of honor. He said: “An artist touches the mind of a person with his painting. The colorful paintings create happiness and bring peace of mind. They lead one to think of the subjects of the paintings.”

Artist Sahi said: “Everyone is an artist. For some, it is a profession and for others it is a hobby. People do not have to become artists, but they do need to appreciate art.”

Rev. C. L. Furtado, retired bishop of the Church of South India (CSI), was the chief guest. Mr. William Pais, the proprietor of Orchid Art Gallery, organized the programme.

The exhibition will be on till Oct 10, Saturday.
