Jeweller, son getting threatening calls from underworld elements : Complaint lodged

Mangaluru, Nov 08, 2018: A jeweller named Ravindra Shet has lodged a complaint with Barke police alleging that he and his son have been receiving threatening calls in the name of underworld don Ravi Poojary demanding  hafta.

 

According to Ravindra Shet, he had received a call from a stranger on October 30 at 5 pm saying he wanted to speak to the latter’s son Sharath Shet.

Thereafter Sharath has been receiving extortion calls on November 1 and 4, the complaint said.

The caller has reportedly threatened of dire consequences if the  demand was not met with.
