Janardhana Poojary bats for police constables planning to go on mass leave

Mangaluru June 1, 2016: Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has batted for  Karnataka Police constables who  have planned to go on mass leave on June 4  in support of their several demands including salary hike.

 Addressing the Press at Congress office on June1, Wednesday, Poojary lambasted CM Siddaramaiah for  warning strict action against police personnel who would go on leave as a mark of protest.  Police too have families and responsibilities, Kadoor Police have warned to take extreme step along with their families if government failed to fulfill the demands, Poojary recalled.

Poojary said that the Chief Minister must raise the salaries of police constables  and pointed out how they were getting less salaries when compared to their counterparts in  Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

If the CM decides to hike the salaries of police personnel and do justice to them, then he will be remembered  forever in the history of the state, Poojary said.

Janardhana Poojary slams Modi for  Acche Din Promises



June 1, 2016: Senior Congress Leader  B Janardhana Poojary has lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to keep his words on Acche Din.

Addressing the Press at Congress office on  June 1 Wednesday Poojary said that Acche Din promises have disillusioned people and it is far from reality. Today price of petrol is hiked up to Rs. 2.58liter and diesel by 2.26liter while service tax is increased up to 15%. There is also an increase in price of every gas cylinder by Rs 21, he said.

Criticizing Modi for his promises of a Congress-free nation,  Poojary said  that Modi was however silent about the violations in the border which have claimed the lives of several soldiers.
