JD(S), CPI(M), CPI protest over Praveen Poojary murder, atrocities on Dalits

Mangaluru Aug 29, 2016: JD(S), CPI(M) and CPI have condemned the recent murder of Praveen Poojary and the rising atrocities on Dalits and staged a protest outside DC office today August 29 Monday.

 

Addressing the protestors, JD(S) District President Mohammed Kunhi alleged that  BJP and Sangha Parivar are attacking the innocents in the name of cow protectors. The atrocities on Dalits and Minorities are rising day by day during the regime of the BJP, they alleged.

The BJP has failed to raise its voice against Praveen Poojary murder, said Mohammad.

 CPI leader V Kukyan said that BJP and Congress showed lack of concern towards the welfare of Dalits, workers and deprived sections.

JD(S) leader Ram Ganesh, Harshith Suvarna, Gangadhar Ullal, Rehman Puttur, CPI(M) leader Balakrishna, Krishnappa,   CPI Leader HV Rao, Karunakar and others were present.
