Ivan visits rain affected areas ; demands compensation

Mangaluru, Sep 12, 2020:     Former MLC Ivan D’Souza has urged the government to immediately release compensation to those affected by  the recent heavy rains  in the city.

 

 

 

Ivan visited the affected places on September 12, Saturday  inspected the damages caused by rain and  urged for release of compensation.

The former MLC who also visited the  site of the residential complex at Derebail Konchady where a retaining wall collapse  resulted in  damage to many cars,  also sought necessary remedial measures and a report by experts on the safety of the building which has over 200 apartments.

Former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, residents of the  complex, office  bearers and others were present.
