Ivan says he is an aspirant for party ticket from Moodbidri

Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2017: MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza has openly expressed his desire to contest from Moodbidri in the upcoming Assembly elections. That sitting Moodbidri MLA and former minister Abhayachandra Jain  has already expressed his unwillingness to contest the next elections, has proved a boon for Ivan.

Speaking to a Kannada media, Ivan  also defended himself saying  an MLA has opportunity to serve the people in a better way than an MLC. On sitting MLA Abhayachandra Jain reportedly stating that he would like to see a Youth Congress leader fielded from his constituency, Ivan said  no such conditions can be laid down by a leader.

Here it is worth mentioning that DK District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai is said to be a keen contender from Moodbidri constituency and that Abhayachandra has also backed his candidature.
