Ivan exudes confidence of Cong win in next polls

Mangaluru, June 1,2017 : Ivan D’Souza, MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council has  exuded confidence that the Congress would win the next  elections with a thumping majority  under the  leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC Chief G Parameshwar.

Speaking  to reporters here on June 1, Thursday, he also welcomed the decision of the party leadership  to continue Parameshwar as the KPCC President for another term.

Accusing the BJP of spreading false rumours that elections will be held ahead of schedule.  Ivan said the Congress would seek votes based on the impressive performance of its government in the state.

On the Union government notification banning cow slaughter, Ivan said it would lead to more  problems. He also alleged that it was only a ploy  to  target the Muslims who are into beef business.
