It’s raining heavily and Mangaluru roads turn into puddles

Mangaluru, June 13, 2019: With monsoon gaining momentum  it’s raining heavily in Mangaluru. And as feared  many roads of the city have turned into puddles.  Rain water is flowing royally right on the road in various parts of the city affecting vehicular as well as pedestrian traffic.

 

Though the MCC had taken steps to clear clogged side drains at various places, the heavy rains have left the side drains overflowing. Artificial floods on roads has become  a common sight at Ambedkar Circle, Bunts Hostel, near Sharavu temple and many other places.

At some places footpath slabs are found broken posing persistent danger particularly when it rains heavily. The situation is no different in the old bus stand area were clogged drain has left the road flooded.
