Mangaluru, Dec 10, 2014: Senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary has demanded invoking of Goonda Act against those who gave a bandh call recently in protest against the Ulaibettu incident. He even demanded punitive action against those resorting to violence.
Speaking to reporters here on December 9, Tuesday, Poojary said the act of the Sangh Parivar leaders was not acceptable.
Taking a dig at the state government, he said the government has failed to maintain law and order and urged the Chief Minister to tackle such situations with bold steps.
Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Poojari urged the Prime Minister to translate his words into action.
Asked if injustice has been done to the coastal district while making appointments to boards and corporations, Poojary said he would respond on the issue later.
