Intoxicated men pelt stones, girl injured

Mangaluru, July 18, 2016: It is reported that a quarrel between some men who were allegedly drunk resulted in stone pelting at Thokottu junction, resulting in a young girl being injured at the week end.  The injured girl is named as Aifa (6).

Three people involved in the fight escaped in a car while the locals managed to get hold of another and thrashed him. Nawaz (30) from Kasargod was later handed over to police.   It is said that four people on their way to Kasargod from Mangaluru entered a wine shop at Thokottu and got drunk. They came out and began arguing and started pelting stones. Aifa who had come to a medical store nearly, along with her mother to buy medicines, suffered injuries when the stones hit her. 

The locals then questioned the men. Three men managed to escape while the locals caught hold of Nawaz and handed him over to police.
