Inter-college festival in Bantakal on Feb 20

Udupi, Feb 19, 2015:  In a press release issued here, Principal Radhakrishna S. Aithal said  Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management is organising a State-level inter-collegiate techno-cultural fest titled ‘Varnothsava-2015’ at its premises at Bantakal in Udupi district on February 20.

Radhakrishna The festival would have competitions for engineering and degree college students. More than 1,000 students were expected to participate in the festivals. The fest will have a mix of technical and cultural events. The group cultural events include ‘Aaja Nachale’, ‘Foot Loose’, ‘The Vocalists’, and ‘Mixed Act’. The solo events include ‘Juz Dance’ and ‘Raaga’, while the off-stage events are ‘Fotonics’, ‘Rangraz’ and ‘Cheharang’.

The general technical events include TE present (paper presentation) in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication and Computer Science Engineering disciplines.

The gaming events to be held are ‘NFS-Most Wanted’, ‘Counterstrike’, ‘Final Destination’ and ‘Bots on lanes’.

The branch specific events include ‘Sarvekshan’ and Blue Print (civil) Turn-IT and CAD-IT (mechanical), Crack C and Webbed (computer science) and Circuitrix and MI-Code (electronics and communications). The events carry prizes worth more than Rs. 2 lakh, the release added.
