Insult to Patla Satish Shetty : Supporters stage protest

Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2019:   Supporters of Yakshagana Bhagavatha Patla Satish Shetty  staged a protest at Nehru Maidan on November 25, Monday against the  convenor of the Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Prasaditha  Yakshagana Mandali for not allowing Shetty to perform on stage during the  first performance of the Mela at Kateel prior to commencement of this year’s Mela tour or Thirugaata.

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Kemaru Seer Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji condemned the humiliation meted out to  a renowned artiste and urged the Temple management to solve the issue.

Yashagana artiste P Rajaram Bhat said  some people who  could not digest Patla’s popularity had resorted to such an act. He also demanded that the Kateel Mela must  incorporate him in the Mela.

Patla Sathish Shetty’s supporters Radhakrishna, Savanur Seetharam Shetty, Sanjay Kumar Shetty, Ravindra Shetty Bajegoli were present among others.
