Insult to Kashi Mutt Samsthan cannot be tolerated, say GSB leaders

Mangaluru, May 10, 2016: Members of the GSB   community cannot tolerate any injustice and insult to the Sri Kashi Mutt Samsthan and its revered Swamiji and should fight against this, said Koteshwar Sridhar Kamath, a leader of the community.

He was addressing a meeting convened  at the Konchady Shree Venkatramana Temple on May 9, Monday evening to discuss the course of events and the confusion that prevailed  following some purported false information regarding investigations into the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.

Pandit Narasimha Acharya, Priest of Sri Venkatramana Temple, Mangaluru,  said some members from within the community have themselves tried to tarnish the image of the community. There is a need to exercise caution against this, he added. Ha  also made it clear that there have been no irregularities during the renovation of the shrine and during the Punah Pratishta Mahotsava. No GSB  organisation is involved in the murder case, he clarified.

When Hanumanth Kamath said members should take to the streets, advocate Satish Bhat said holding  protest would not be the right move at this moment.

Ratnaker Kamath, Member of the Konchady Shree Venkatramana Temple Committee said  the family of Vinayak Baliga should no doubt get justice, but it was not proper to link the incident to Kashi Mutt and defame the institution. Stating that some evil forces were behind such rumours, he said such forces  are aimed at dividing the society which should not be allowed.
