Innocents will not be arrested, assures ADGP Alok Mohan

Bantwal, June 16,2017 : Additional Director  General of Police (Law and Order) Alok Mohan visited the Bantwal Town Police Station on June 15,  Thursday in the wake of the recent  disturbances in Kalladka. He assured on the occasion that no innocent person will be arrested.

Speaking to reporters after scrutinizing files in the station, the ADGP said   there should be no scope for  disruption of peace in Kalladka frequently.  The disruptive elements must be identified  and  action should be taken against them, he added.

Referring to the arguments of the family members of a few arrested in connection with the recent clash that they were innocents, he said  the same would be taken note of and verified. The culprits behind the recent  disturbances will not be spared, he reiterated.

 The ADGP  also referred to the  social media messages aimed at disrupting harmony and  added that the SP would initiate stern action against those found guilty.

Regarding the rumours of an injured and accused in the clash escaping from hospital, he said the local police would look into the issue and initiate necessary action.
