From its humble beginning with 25 employees in 1995, the DC has grown from strength to strength over the last two decades with the 347 acre campus being home to over 3,900 employees, 2.5 lakh trees, seven rain water ponds and a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified Software Development Block.

The anniversary celebrations commenced in August with Codelexia - a workshop on trends in IT field for faculty members followed by Hackathon for faculty and students of Engineering colleges in and around the city. In September, the DC reintroduced ’Scholar-2015’, an Inter-High School Quiz Competition which witnessed an overwhelming participation from 41 schools. Rewards and recognitions program, a karaoke evening and a live concert along with dance performances are planned for the week to keep the Infoscions immersed and entertained.

Speaking on the occasion, Gopikrishnan Konnanath, DC Head - Infosys Mangaluru said: Having started operations at a small scale in 1995 as the first DC outside the Headquarters, the center has now come a long way in terms of business growth, infrastructure, competency development and sustainability initiatives. As we proudly celebrate the 20th anniversary of the DC, we recognize the unrelenting support and contribution of our key stakeholders - clients, Infosys’ management, employees of the DC and the local community - towards the growth of the center."
