Infant Jesus feast on Jan 14; nine-day Novena from Jan 5

Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2015:  The Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill at Bikarnakatte in Mangaluru will be celebrating its annual feast  on January 14. A nine-day Novena  will begin on January 5 as a spiritual preparation for the feast and will conclude on January 13.

 

Informing this to reporters here on January 3, Saturday, Joe Tauro, Rector  said the Feast celebrations will commence on January 14 at 6 pm  with a Solemn Mass under the leadership of the Bareilly Bishop Dr Ignatius D’Souza. He further stated that  there will be masses from 6 am to 12.30 pm  while Novena will be held upto 1.30 pm. On January 10 there will be a special prayer for the  sick, he said adding  holy masses will be held in Konkani and English daily. The masses in Malayalam language will be held on Monday.
