Mangaluru, July 3, 2015 : The local tourist organisers has demanded  ’E-tourist visa’  facility at MIA -Mangaluru International Airport.


Industry demands ’E-tourist visa’ M’luru AirportWilliam D’Souza, President, Globe Travels, in a letter addressed to Chemicals minister Anant Kumar, Law minister DV Sadanda Gowda, MPs Nalin Kumar Kateel and Shobha Karandlaje urged them to use their good offices to extend the E-tourist facility, announced by Ministry of External Affairs, to smaller airports like Mangaluru  in India.

Providing this facility will go a long way for Mangaluru’s prospects in promoting exports, trade and commerce. He said Jet Airways has already begun connecting the world via Abu Dhabi through its interline partner, Etihad Airways.


``The facility of E-Tourist visa at Mangaluru will help foreigners arrive directly into Mangaluru instead of via Mumbai or Bengaluru in shortest time,’.  This will also boost the tourism and many foreign airlines will begin their operations from Mangaluru airport which will bring in revenue and help in many other ways too.
