Independence Day Cup Pro Kabaddi tourney at Nehru Maidan on Aug 14, 15

Mangaluru, August 12, 2018: Sports Promoters Club and International Bunts Welfare Trust will organise Independence Day Cup Pro Kabaddi 2018 tournament at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru on August 14 and 15.

Reveling the information to media on August 11,Saturday, Trust Organising Secretary Rajagopal Rai said that the competitions will be organised for selected teams comprising high school and PU students. Eight teams (boys and girls) from each taluk will take part.

The Kabaddi matches will be held on mats. The winners will be awarded trophy and cash prizes.  In addition, the best catcher, the best attacker and the overall champion will be awarded.

Matches will be held according to the guidelines of Amateur Kabaddi Association.

The uniforms and shoes are mandatory for players. Players should furnish the identity card/Principal’s permission letter/ Aadhaar card
copy.

District-In-charge Minister U T Khader will inaugurate the programme while MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, former ministers Amarnath Shetty and Ramanath Rai will be chief guests. For details, those interested can contact Rathan Shetty at 9448529625.
