Immoral policing at Panambur beach; 4 arrested

Mangaluru, Feb 05, 2024: Police have arrested four persons on the charges of resorting to immoral policing at Panambur beach. The arrest was made on the basis of the complaint lodged by a young woman from Bengaluru.

Those arrested are Prashanth Bhandari (38) of Bantwal, Umesh (23), Sudhir (26) and Keerthan Poojary (20) of Belthangady.

 

The four have been accused of questioning the woman who was in the company of a young man and had tried to assault them. They had also videographed the incident. According to the complaint, the woman had met the youth in Panambur beach in order to congratulate him for winning a literary award.
