Mangalore, Nov 9, 2011: The Immaculate Conception Church of Ladyhill organized a fancy fete on the church grounds and an arts fest in its centenary hall under the guidance of its parish priest F. Victor D’Mello on Nov 6. 

The event attracted a large number of people. The proceeds will be put into the Education Fund created to assist needy students. 

Fr. Benjamin Lobo, the chief sponsor of the event, inaugurated the fancy fete, and M. R. Vasudeva, the director of the Airport Authority of India, inaugurated the arts fest, which was presented by Karavali Chitrakalavidaru Chavadi of Mangalore. Mayor Praveen Kumar Anchan was the chief guest of the event.

The fancy fete comprised plenty of entertainment in the form of games, homemade food, jumble sale, auction, bingo, and others. 

The arts fest comprised an exhibition of paintings and demonstration by artists and painters across the city. The works of more than 50 talented painters were displayed on this occasion.
