Illegal transportation of liquor: Three held

Mangaluru, Nov 03, 2017 : Three persons arrested by City Crime Branch(CCB)on November 03, Friday at Elyar Padav for illegal transportation of liquor.

Denzil Wickson D’Souza (28)of Amblamogeru, Mohandas Shetty (36)of Konaje and Bhoja Kottari (50)of Kuthar Kodi are identified as the arrested.


CCB inspector Sunil Naik team under the guidance of Police Commissioner T R Suresh, and the able guidance of DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth took up the raid opertion. Acting on tip police have arrested trio at Elyar Padav, while they were transporting  350 litres of liquor in 10 cans in a swift car. Police have siezed 4 mobile phones, the vehicle used to transport and cans of liquor a total worth of Rs 7.2 lakh from the accused.

Investigations are underway.
