Illegal gas refilling centres raided ; 2 arrested

Mangaluru, Dec 17, 2018: Acting on a tip off,CCB police raided illegal gas refilling centres at Bolar  and Jeppu market area on December 16, Sunday and arrested two persons.

Seventeen filled gas cylinders, 136 empty cylinders, refilling pump, pick-up vehicle and a tempo have been seized. The value of the seized goods and vehicles has been estimated at Rs 6,44,400.

Those arrested are Sadashiva Rai (47) from Kaikamba and Prashanth (42) from Bolar. Meanwhile, two other accused Koosappa and Harish are absconding.

Further investigations are underway.
