Illegal Transport: Forest officials seize logs worth 6 lakhs

Bantwal,  Sep 21, 2016 : A truck engaged in illegal transportation of Acacia logs was seized by Forest officials at Mani in Bantwal on September 20, Tuesday.

The accused arrested is Ibrahim Sahib, the truck driver.

On credible information Mangaluru assistant forest conservation officer Shridhar Naik along with other officers waylaid the truck. They have seized logs worth six lakhs and vehicle used for transport.

Bantwal Zonal Forest Officer B Suresh Babu,  Sub Zonal Forest Officer H V Ramesh, Forest Guards Vinay Kumar, Jithesh P, Chidananda B , Praveen , Bhaskar and driver Jayaram  were present.
