Idol of Goddess Sharada installed at Acharya Mutt of SVT

Mangalore, Oct 01, 2014: As part of the 92nd Sarvajanika Sri Sharada Mahotsav, the idol of Goddess Sharada was installed at Acharya Math premises of Sri Venkataramana Temple, Car Street here on September 30, Tuesday. The idol was earlier brought to the Mutt premises in a grand procession.

 

 

 

 

 

Jayaraj Pai,  Padmanabha Pai, Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, Trustees of the Temple,  Shivanand Mallya, Narasimha Acharya of Acharya Math, Bhasker Bhat, Chief Priest and a large number of devotees were present during the installation of the idol.
A host of religious and cultural events are lined up as part of Sharada Mahotsav at the Temple.

The festivities will conclude on October 5, Sunday wherein a colourful and grand procession carrying the idol of Goddess Sharada would be taken out on the main streets of the city. The idol will be immersed at the Mahamaya Temple lake during the wee hours of October 6, upon the culmination of the procession.
