Mangaluru, Feb 20, 2015: Mangaluru branch of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is organising the 12th annual Sri Krishna Balarama Rath Yatra festival at Dr T M A Pai International Convention Centre here on February 21 at 5.30 pm.


iskon rataBriefing reporters, Iskcon (Mangaluru) President Sri Karunya Sagar Dasa said colourful rath yatra will be flagged off after an inaugural special puja is performed at 5.30 pm from the T M A Pai Convention Centre.

The decorated and illuminated chariot carrying the deities of Sri Krishna Balarama will proceed through P V S Circle, Navabharath Circle, K S Rao Road, Hampankatta, Market Road, G H S Road, P M Rao Road, K S Rao Road and back to M G Road and culminate at Dr T M A Pai Convention Centre at 8.30 pm which will be followed by Bhajans, Sankirtans and Maha Mangala Arati and serving of prasadam by the volunteers.

Stating that the entire procession will be spiritually powered by loud and ecstatic chanting and reciting of the Hare Krishna Hare Rama kirtans by the devotees, he said that devotees from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are expected to take part in the fest.
