Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2019 : The two-day National Conference "Avirath" organised by the Mangaluru Branch of Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was inaugurated at Town Hall on December 12, Thursday by Corporation Bank Managing Director and CEO P V Bharathi. The theme of the conference is ‘Perpetual Progression, Perfect Professionalism’.
In her inaugural address, Bharathi said chartered accountancy has become a global business in the growing economic scenario. She also stated that banks and chartered accountants share a close bonding.
Speaking as a chief guest, M Venkatesh, Managing Director of MRPL stressed the need for reforms in the nation’s complex tax structure. A good financial management is the need of all sectors, he added.
Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, Committee for Capacity Building of Members in Practice of ICAI, said CAs play a very important role in the progress and development of the country.
Prasanna Kumar, Vice President of ICAI, Anantha Padmanabha K, Chairman of Mangaluru Branch of ICAI, Secretary Subrahmanya Kamath and others were present.
