I was not dismissed, my tenure in NRI Forum had ended in Oct, clarifies Capt. Ganesh Karnik

Mangalore, Dec 26,2012: Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC, has clarified that he was not dismissed from the post of Chairperson of NRI Forum as reported in the media. Terming the reports as far from truth, Capt Karnik said his three year tenure  had already ended in October last.

Speaking to reporters at the District BJP office in Mangalore on December 26, Wednesday,Capt. Karnik said the setting up of NRI Forum  aimed at the welfare of people of the state who have settled abroad, was a milestone in the history of the state and also one of the major achievements of the BJP government.

He said he was satisfied with his performance as the Deputy Chairman of NRI Forum which was formed   to forge a strong relationship between Karnataka and its people spread across the world and has been playing a vital role in motivating investments and also strengthening linkages between  Karnataka   and several cultural organisations of people of Karnataka state in other nations.

BJP leaders Rajgopal Rai, Srikar Prabhu, Fisheries Corporation Chairman Nitin Kumar were also present at the press meet.
