Hundreds of faithful participate in annual Eucharistic procession

 Mangaluru, Jan 5, 2015: Hundreds of faithful participated in the annual Eucharistic procession of the Mangalore Catholic Diocese which was  taken out from  Milagres church to Rosario Cathedral on January 4, Sunday.  The procession was taken out after a solemn mass  led by Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru and participated by several priests as well as the faithful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Addressing the gathering at the Rosario Cathedral grounds upon the culmination of the procession, he urged the masses to  love and respect each other and extend helping hands to those in need.

 The Bishop also honoured with mementoes  parish priests and representatives  who raised highest funds from their parishes. The first four highest  fund raising parishes are  Cordel Church, Bejai Parish, Derebail and Milagres  parishes.

On this occasion, the Bishop unveiled ‘Wake Up the World’ logo for 2015. Even the statue of Blessed Joseph Vaz, the first Goan saint of universal catholic church, was handed over to the Paneer Church Parish Priest on the occasion.
