Hundreds of enthusiasts witness historic ’Sankupoonja-Devupoonja Jodukare Kambala’

Mangaluru, Feb 22, 2016:  Hundreds of Kambala enthusiasts witnessed the  ’Sankupoonja-Devupoonja Jodukare Kambala’  held at the  Kambala field at Thiruvail Guthu near  Amrutheshwara Temple at Vamanjoor in the outskirts of the city on February 21, Sunday.

Speaking  as a chief guest, DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai  said  each and everyone need to patronise Kambala and ensure that  efforts to  end this traditional buffalo race in the name of animal rights are not allowed.

Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo, VHP District President Jagadish Shenava,  Bajrang Dal Convenor Sharan Pumpwell  and others spoke on the occasion.

Kambala Committee President Naveen Chandra Alva, Buntara Mathru Sangha President Malady Ajith Kumar Rai,  and many others  were present. The event will conclude on February 22, Monday evening.
