Humanitarian gesture: Khader rushes to aid of accident victim

Mangaluru, Feb 22, 2015: In a humanitarian gesture, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader  helped in shifting an accident victim to the  hospital on February 22, Sunday.

The accident took place near the Lady Goschen Hospital wherein a speeding autorickshaw knocked down an elderly pedestrian who was crossing the road. The vehicle sped without coming to the aid of the victim who lay injured on the road.

When the minister who was at a press meet was informed about this by someone, he  immediately asked his driver to take the victim to the hospital. The injured was shifted later with the help of media men and the minister’s driver.

It is learnt, though a large crowd had gathered at the spot of the accident, none had come forward to take him to the nearby Wenlock Hospital.

In an earlier instance, the minister who was on way to an Iftar party in Bengaluru in July last year had helped accident victims near Mekhri Circle by shifting them to hospitals in his car.
