Huge protest, State Highway bundh opposing toll gate at Belman

Karkala, Dec 20, 2018: The call for a Padubidri-Karkala State Highway Bundh today  by the Tollgate Virodhi Samithi   to oppose the proposed  toll plaza at Belman has evoked very good response with buses remaining off roads and shops and business establishments too downing their shutters voluntarily.

 

The protest was inaugurated by Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram. Speaking on the occasion the seer said he fully supported the movement against the setting up of the toll gate in Belman.

Hundreds of locals too took part in the protest march. The police detained many  protestors who were proceeding from Belman to Nandalike.
