Huge compound wall collapses over house near Konaje

Mangaluru, June 26 2018: A huge compound wall  has collapsed over a house at Dasaramoole near Konaje on June 25,  Monday night due to heavy rains.  Though the house was damaged, all the six persons who were inside had a miraculous escape.

The house belonged to Nirmala. While the roofing has collapsed, walls have also  developed cracks. Nirmala, her children Vidya, Ramesh, nephew Putnanja and grandchildren were sleeping when  the compound wall of their neighbour Devyanna Shetty collapsed with a loud thud. All of them had rushed outside on hearing the  sound.

Shetty had constructed the huge compound wall   of concrete pillars  a few years ago. An electric pole in the vicinity has also been damaged.

Officials have visited the spot.
