Huge boulders fall on Charmady Ghat road

Belthangady, August 6, 2020:  Vehicular traffic was affected on Charmady Ghat on Wednesday evening after two large boulders rolled off on to the road in between the second and third curve of the Ghat road.  The task of vacating the boulders commenced soon after and arrangements were made  for movement of vehicle on one side of the road.

Heavy rains since the past two days has already resulted in some minor land slips at some places on the Ghat stretch. The administration has recently banned vehicular movement on the ghat road during night time.
