Mangaluru, May 01, 2018: District Congress President Harish Kumar has accused the BJP of spreading false allegations against the Congress despite the Congress providing tickets to three Billawa candidates from the district.
Speaking to reporters here, he questioned how much importance the BJP has accorded to the Billawa community while selecting candidates. He also accused the BJP of violating the poll code by seeking votes in the name of Hindutva. "The BJP considers only its members as Hindus, he said.
The District Congress Chief was critical of Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegade for making remarks offending the Jain community. He even took the BJP to task for making a false allegation that the Congress had an alliance with the SDPI.
