House of poor Dalit family gutted near Thokkottu

Mangaluru, Mar 06, 2019: The house of a poor Dalit family  located  near the crematorium at Chembugudde near Thokkottu was gutted in a fire on March 6, Wednesday morning.

 

The  occupants of the house Mohini and Ankitha were away when the fire broke out. Locals tried to put out the fire.

The house owner Shobha had passed away few years ago and since then her two unmarried daughters are residing here. The two who have been living under abject poverty conditions are now at a loss after  losing their shelter  in the fire.
