Hotelier arrested for sexually harassing minor

Padubidri, Dec 25, 2019:  Police here have arrested a person  on the charges of  sexually harassing a  minor. The accused identified as Lakshminarayan Bhat  has  been booked under POCSO Act.

It  is alleged that the girl, a fifth standard student   used to often come to Bhat’s hotel to buy eatables after she returned home from school and tuition class every day. 

As per the complaint, the accused used to take the girl to the kitchen of the hotel and sexually abuse her.

He had also reportedly even threatened of dire consequences if she divulged the matter before anyone. The girl’s mother had lodged the complaint.
